Background
My interest in yoga and meditation began in my late teenage years. Meditation had a dramatic effect on my life, whilst yoga felt very much like a 'coming home', that put me in touch with my ancestral heritage.
I have been teaching yoga and meditation in Cheltenham and Gloucester for many years as a British Wheel of Yoga Teacher. I studied at the International Meditation Centre (UK), in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin, the respected Burmese Teacher, also with a variety of British Wheel of Yoga Teachers and I have studied Kum Nye Meditation with Maura and Franklyn Sills, Directors of Karuna Institute, Devon. My teaching has developed over 30 years of practise and from working with a variety of wonderful teachers and students.
I teach regular weekly classes and one to one sessions, and have taught yoga for the local college (Gloscat), as well as run corporate classes for businesses.
I have a background in Stress Management Counselling and training natural health practitioners in Polarity Therapy. Polarity Therapy is a broad based approach to health, incorporating, nutrition, acupressure bodywork and exercise.
Yoga and meditation continue to be an essential part of my life.
